We’ve been getting a great tutorial on why so many people distrust the mainstream media since the debate. Reminds me of William Randolph Hearst promoting the Spanish-American War to sell more papers; these folks liked the Trump years because it made getting clicks easier.

This entire “the sky is falling” post-debate narrative is about getting that atmosphere of chaos back by any means possible. It’s an abject failure of journalism and ethics boosted by a publisher who got his feelings hurt when Biden wouldn’t give NYT an interview.

Every time these people whined about Biden being boring, they were giving away the game. Even the pretense of objectivity is gone at this point.

If you’re “boring” they focus on the stumbles of those close to you or—gasp—that time you wore a tan suit to a press briefing.

That almost inspired me to buy a tan suit.
