Why aren't more films made in swamps? With its swampy setting, GATOR BAIT is absolutely gorgeous at times. More thoughtful than I expected going in as well--the Sebastians manage to sneak in some provocative social commentary about how patriarchy, bigotry and violence all feed off one another.
Now watching GATOR BAIT, a1974 thriller in which a posse of inbred hicks make the enormous mistake of coming after a scantily-clad Cajun alligator hunter who lives deep in the swamp Starring Claudia Jennings Written and directed by the husband and wife team of Ferd and Beverly Sebastian

Love swamps as a setting, and as a conceptual space (neither land nor sea). Southern Comfort had me hooting and hollering
