I'll start: I absolutely loved his stage designs for 'Dracula' back in the 70s.

I own this image of Gorey's, from a 1973 National Lampoon... I don't know why he didn't turn the ends of stories that followed into a book.

I bought this print at Gotham Book Mart long long ago. As a bookseller for many years, I can say there's a certain amount of truth in this.

It's funny(no pun) what you find in the best years of the Lampoon, which is to say until PJ O'Rourke and John Hughes ran it, till about 74-75. A LOT of comics creators doing very different work, like Frank Springer, Neal Adams, Berni Wrightson, even Chaykin I think
