I think that a lot of people feel lowkey shame about not having an anti-ableist education and so they shit on people who talk about accessibility as a way to deflect. When really they shouldn’t feel shame. Structural ableism intentionally restricts disabled knowledge.
Ableism is self-defeating. In this great presentation on accessibility in publishing, Chandi Perrera points out “almost everyone, everybody in this room and everybody you have met, would be at least temporarily or permanently impaired at some point in their life”

All such systems are self-defeating for almost everyone. It's just that lots of human beings will cut off their noses as long as it means they can look down something else at other people.
