the most interesting food topic that I don't see us ask each other about enough is the flagship foods of our people that the world goes ape over but we can't stand personally. Ok I'll admit whats already got me disowned several times, I think the samosa is a fundamentally mediocre preparation
I had Indian cuisine, made by someone that lived there and immigrated to Indiana (ha) and it used more (different) spices than I've ever seen on one dish before. It was amazing. Every culture has good food and terrible food. Just as every culture has good people and terrible people.

Is it that other cultures do the savory stuffed pastry better or are you just not into them period?

empanadas are proof that this species deserves to exist, the samosa made a fatal error by using the evil vegetable that god hid underground so we could be saved from it

...are you...are you....anti-potato? My Irish ancestors just all gasped in unison and then went back to snuggling potatoes in their graves.

if god wanted us to eat potatoes he wouldnt have hidden them far underground where they couldnt hurt us no good will come of this mark my words

Oh, we must be mortal enemies now, the potato is the food of the gods that they so kindly share with us mortals.

Look, man, I feel the same way about tomatoes.
Raw tomato is vile. The only way they can be consumed raw is in salsa. But cooked, they are magic. And don't even get me started on those nasty little seeds. *shudder*
