the most interesting food topic that I don't see us ask each other about enough is the flagship foods of our people that the world goes ape over but we can't stand personally.

I had Indian cuisine, made by someone that lived there and immigrated to Indiana (ha) and it used more (different) spices than I've ever seen on one dish before.
It was amazing. Every culture has good food and terrible food. Just as every culture has good people and terrible people.
empanadas are proof that this species deserves to exist, the samosa made a fatal error by using the evil vegetable that god hid underground so we could be saved from it
Raw tomato is vile. The only way they can be consumed raw is in salsa. But cooked, they are magic. And don't even get me started on those nasty little seeds. *shudder*
