It's already extremely hot here & cops have been breaking up encampments & safe zones. Leaving people to fend for themselves.
A customer bragged to me Monday about *fighting* an unhoused person. Then he kept updating me throughout the week. He fails to see in my face that I want to strangle him.
Californians are so anti homeless it's not even funny. The democratic party leadership of their state enacts fascism like having cops seize homeless people from the street to involuntary institutionalize them, & all their cities war with the homeless. Californians think the homeless are total scum.
I have a coworker who feels the need to enthusiastically tell me how often he “catches” less fortunate people taking stuff when I’m not at work like it’s something to be proud of. Our store policy is literally “did you see someone steal something? no you didn’t”
He also has not caught on to my face
The cops came by my job to see if we would be interesting in felony trespassing all homeless from the property defeating the purpose of our work. Our office provides condoms and does a needle exchange among other services, so the answer was of course no so he asked for my bosses number.
It is but my boss is great. We have to share a building with a university lab and they complain a lot and she yelled at them one day to let them know every time they call the cops people with very little get everything they own thrown out by the city workers and they calmed down on calling them.
