One of the things I find fascinating is the growing cohort on social media blaming Biden for "sending in" cops when the man has about as much influence over university admin as I do over my girlfriend's cat. Sometimes he looks up if I call his name while we're video calling but that's about it.
Absolutely. Calling in the cops is a failure. The professors who encouraged this nonsense were derelict in their duties. The administrations who panicked, failed. Kids are kids. The adults should have known better.
Sadly, most university admins haven't been properly socialized, and will hiss and hide behind the couch when approached. You might have some luck offering treats or tenure though.
