camille claudel was a better sculptor than rodin #trashtuesday I was just there a few weeks ago, and damn she was just so, so good (this is her bust of French naturalist painter Leon Lhermitte) And she was punished for it 😞 Along the same lines, my #trashtuesday take is that Rodin is wildly overrated and most of his sculptures are gloppy and graceless. 🫣 I read this as Rodan at first and had no idea they were a sculptor.
