As a kid, I distinctly remember going to the duplex theater w/ my parents and dad and I went to “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown” while mom went to “Clockwork Orange”, I swear I am not making this up
no theater hopping, kids!
I will always be in awe of the totoro / grave of the fireflies double feature, apparently showing fireflies second, just to really close it out
yeah not sure what the right answer is, do you go totoro first and give them a chance to leave intact before fireflies even starts, or try and pull them back from the brink with totoro second reaffirming life
I haven’t seen it for a couple decades. My wife won’t let me watch it.
It’s a stunning movie and I love it. And am amazed that it was made by the same man who made Pom Poko.
there's a small list of movies that I think are impeccable but I'd rather have unanesthetized bottom surgery than see again.. requiem for a dream, irreversible, things of that nature
