It came out at a weird time in my life so I never sat with it, but the Queens of the Stone Age version of Christian Brothers is really astounding. It sounds like something you'd hear in Justified

For some weird reason I haven't figured out, I wasn't in to Era Vulgaris when it first came out either, but it's been in pretty steady rotation for me for the last year
Both era and to a much larger extent lullabies were really weird periods for the band. I don't think josh had fun again until like clockwork, ITNR is a real return to the fun, weird queens
It’s fine but I rarely go out of my way to listen to it. I think the only songs on that album that I truly love are Everybody Knows That You’re Insane and Someone’s In the Wolf
My most controversial: Villains is superior to ITNR. I know the middle drags, but Villains starts and ends with a bang. ITNR just never feels like it gets going. At least “Paper Machete” rips.
