The amount of people liking the wood paneling wrap is deeply concerning. It’s a flat wrap. That car looks like shit and is an affront to all wood paneled SUVs that came before it. If you want to see a decent CT wrap, this one from a shop in Atlanta is honestly solid.
i like rivets
i have weird nostalgia for silver planes with rivets despite never ever having seen one in my life and likely not being aware of them as a child
There's def a place for that P-38 wrap...but why not put it on something that moves like a fighter....actually cheaper to buy a Corvette than one of these things.
This looks like a car from a janky 90s cyberpunk PC game.
"The coastal rain pounded on the windows of his cybertruck as Sam headed up the California coast after talking with the widow, pondering her parting invitation to come by and see her again."
I think they did it to be funny. I don’t know why you’d use your car as a joke, but it’s like wearing those 80s glasses with the bar across the top. It’s a throwback to what has been universally considered a bad style choice in earnest but is fun when done semi-ironically.
It went from something I would've expected to see in a video game 30 years ago to something I'd expect to see today. It also is an interesting art commentary on a lot of different axis even if it wasn't intended to be
hold up, I too saw (briefly) a cybertruck with a wood paneling wrap this morning, only it was driving on a surface street in Kirkland. I wonder if it was this same one. Wild if there are multiple similar ones in the Seattle area.
Same 405 corridor so it makes sense. The only one I’ve seen in the wild was not wrapped (it was in a MacDonald’s parking lot in Bellevue, lol) but my buddy in Oly informs me there are two he’s seen in town as well.
Yeah, I see them painfully often in the Kirkland area, probably due to the proximity to Microsoft, Google, etc. We saw another one (unwrapped) this evening in downtown Bellevue.
After not seeing one of these mobile trash dumpsters in the wild I've seen 5 in the last three weeks including two today within 10 seconds of each other....make it stop!
I would rather have a classic Buick Roadmaster than one of those rusty twerpmobiles! Retrofit a Roadmaster for biofuels or electric so it gets more than 10 MPH!
