I'm back working on the "Arlington VA" feed after being busy w/ life. Pulls from 90+ local Arlingtonians (30% regularly active!). Prioritizes original posts but now also some random replies so even #QuietPosters show up. Also looks for keywords of neighborhood names & local websites. Sub & use it!
3️⃣/ Sometimes false positives happen with the keywords. I try to scroll the feed regularly and add any irrelevant accounts being picked up to a blacklist or refine filters to prevent future errors. Did you know "Clarendon" is the name of a popular font and there's a "Crystral City" in Texas?
5️⃣/ I will soon be shutting down the first "Arlington VA (old)" feed and hopefully getting everyone over to the "Arlington VA (new)" feed which has been running for a few months and is far more customizable for me. Please go ahead and sub to the new one 👇 & click the heart button ❤️ to like it!
6️⃣/ As local news outlets, civic orgs, and county government offices join (🤞🤞) I'll emphasize local info & activities more, but this will always be a place to see what your fellow neighbors are up to and talking about, even if it isn't Arlington-related.
