I was going to watch The Treasure of the Sierra Madre (1948), but I decided that was probably too heavy so instead I watched Frankenstein Unbound (1990). Mistakes were made. 😅

Treasure is worth watching just for the little jig the old man prospector does

I've heard its a classic, and I've been replaying Fallout: New Vegas recently, in which the "Dead Money" expansion is largely inspired by the film. I just wasn't up for a two hour drama tonight, so instead I watched a movie where John Hurt fries a Frankenstein to death with lasers.

Man I loved New Vegas. Going to check this out. I hear you on the time/attention span thing.

It's also a mood thing. I ended up crying at the end of an episode of Columbo last night, albeit a very sad one where Janet Leigh convincingly plays a character suffering from a dementia-like condition. I wanted something a bit lighter.

Sounds good. Only recall seeing her in Psycho. My personal lack of commitment to concentrating on a movie for 2 hours has resulted in a lot of MST3K for me lately.
