I finally finished this pencil drawing from a couple of weeks ago. I wish I could have been nice and cool in a bamboo forest during our recent heatwave!

I had a pretty deflating morning, so I decided to start a new crane drawing to have something uplifting and inspiring to look at. Here's to trying to lift each other up in whatever ways we can, no matter how small our actions may seem.

I took this photo of a Great Blue Heron on a recent walk at a local park. I never get tired of seeing them, and they serve as an inspiration for much of my work.

Just finished this drawing, after spending most of the day writing a blog piece AND a submission to an illustration agency (🤞). I needed this creative this outlet today, and thought I'd share the finished result. Apologies for the poor photo quality - lighting was not optimal. 😊

Observation from this afternoon walk: rush hour, busy intersection, ambulance driver looking down, one hand on wheel, other hand holding phone and texting. Society in 2024 in a nutshell.
