I was primed to find Vanilla-chan annoying when she showed up in the anime, but Hime just does such a good job at being an encouraging figure with her that it somehow works.
A minor miracle, right there.
Right? There was every opportunity for her to be that annoying side character, but Hime is just a great sister figure for her who brings out the character's better side more often than not.
