This is giving me thoughts. On the one hand, it sounds like it gives utilities discriminatory access to transmission capacity. On the other hand, maybe it would help more things get built? Unless the utilities gamed it, which they probably would... Would FERC even let this idea fly? #EnergySky 🔌💡

Exciting offshore wind news in New Jersey! 3,742 MW of new offshore projects announced, providing some good news for the offshore wind industry, which has seen a recent spate of wins up and down the east coast after a challenging couple of years.

I just posted a long thread on another platform summarizing numerous FERC complaints about utilities blocking clean energy. The complaints, filed by developers, allege anti-competitive interconnection and planning processes, rate structures, and more.

I swear, if I read one more report about transmission development that does not include the word utilities, well then I'm just going to have keep talking about them.
