This is what make so called moderate republicans quislings. Mitt Romney, Susan Collins et al could sink MAGA tomorrow by splitting off their own party. But they won’t put saving the country over their own personal political careers.
The story so far is that Labour isn't gaining that much support; it's just winning a ton of seats because Conservatives and Reform are splitting the vote on the right.
Is it that clear that a party running a Romney/Collins ticket and a bunch of Kinzinger-ish Congressional candidates would hurt Republicans (including Trump) more than Dems/Biden? This sounds a lot like the Liz Cheney candidacy that everyone realized was a bad idea.
