If colors are making your art more muddled, try previewing in grayscale Values create focus in your piece. If the values are thoughtlessly distributed they won't be clear

Comic Book People! Does this "panoramic environment broken up into panels" technique have a label? The earliest I've seen it done is Eisner's The Spirit (of course). I'm not 100% sure Eisner invented this technique, but I'm willing to bet he did. (Art below: Steranko, Tower of Shadows #1)
