Some libraries have Special Collections. Many in universities name the special collections after a librarian or collector of materials. The Linda B. Thank you, Ralph! I work at the Linda Hall Library, which as you've rightly noted is an independent research library located next to UMKC. I was commenting on the fact that the institution has never referred to itself as the "Linda B. Hall Library." (B. isn't even our namesake's middle initial...)
