TWO reddish egrets. First time I have seen that! If you view this photo on the computer , you might find their appearance a little comical. #BolsaChocaEcologicalReserve from Saturday.

I believe this is the Belding’s subspecies of the Savannah Sparrow. It is an endangered species in California due to the disappearance of its habitat—salt marshes. Here seen Saturday at #BolsaChicaEcologicalReserve in some pickleweed—where they like to nest. 🦉📷
