I can't live without Alex's Inks (pictured); there's a medieval pattern brush pack that I also love on the clip workshop; @noctemtenebris.bsky.social has a lot of Clip brush packs for scales; @devinellekurtz.bsky.social has a bunch of lovely foliage/background brushes

-otherwise the defaults are good (for my purposes); g-pen for clean lines/sketching and for flat colors, watercolor brushes come in a useful variety, useful varieties on airbrush as well workspace is the default with some tweaks:

Mark Brunet's CSP brushes are free download. Don't use CSP myself but I found lots of useful tools there (can find on YouTube)

Hard to pick honestly, I have many favorites for different styles… But what I love is that when you make a project around a theme, you can collect a lot of cool materials in various folders. If you input Japanese search terms on Clip Assets, you can get even more results (including Free materials)
