🚨⛈️July 1st brings heavy rain to #Hiroshima ‼️ Sirens & emergency phone alerts kept me awake all morning until I gave up on sleep around 4:30am☕ Evacuation orders are in effect around the region (landslides/flooding). We're OK but I hope those in high-risk areas are safe🙏🏿 #Japan #news #weather #wx

Thank you! My daughter & her high school friends were happy school was closed for 2 days, but luckily there was no serious damage or injuries near us. Yeah, early phone alerts for earthquakes, storms & sometimes North Korean missile tests are a blessing but quite startling in the middle of night😱

As we used to say in my Army days "Stick your head between your legs & kiss your ass goodbye."🤣 Jokes aside, I've only experienced it once in Hiroshima and that was because the trajectory of the missile was unclear. The warnings usually only cover cities in the path (northern airspace or Okinawa)
Japan warns residents to take cover from North Korean missile threatwww.reuters.com The Japanese government issued an emergency warning on Monday for residents in the south to take cover from the possible threat of a North Korean missile.

I live ten minutes from one military base and an hour from another. When we had tension with North Korea, late autumn 2019, I saw a C130 - knew right off what plane it was - fly low over our yard and felt a chill I cannot describe. My neighbor, John, chuckled and said they were rotating aircraft.
