As part of the @peatmothership.bsky.social project we are organising a series of workshops focusing on modelling the carbon cycle in peatlands. The workshops will share best practice. Today's first workshop introduced some of the models that include a peat implementation. Further dates soon!

Approaching end-of-year field work, including dipwell, piezometer and weir downloads. Also prototyping a simple dipwell extension to eliminate the effect of  bog breathing on our water table data.

We were out in our peatland study site yesterday, checking and winterising our weirs, taking water samples, and do infiltrometry for unsaturated haydraulic conductivity.
