I think it’s counterproductive & missing-the-point to police who is allowed to be at pride events when the point of the pride movement is to deconstruct policing of normativity that we all suffer from
I think how little cis/het people understand queerness is troubling, and building walls around purity in queer movements is not working in anyone’s benefit
To be clear, this does not apply to all queer spaces. Queerness only exists as a concept because we live in a cisheteronormative patriarchy, so centering those who occupy the tops of that hierarchy is not navigating queerness in a way that is safe for all people
