Apparently it's time for my annual AC breakdown! Every summer, usually about this time, my HVAC system breaks down and costs me an arm and a leg to fix. How much will it be this year? 😭

Sorry I haven't been on here recently. Things have been very rough lately.

So now that I've formally accepted the new job, why is it that I keep getting job offers? It's flattering, because they are usually offering me a job based solely on my resume. But where were all these job offers when I was desperate to get out of my old job?

Right now I'm the Elmo with flames.gif because 911 has me going insane!

New hair! My hairdresser convinced me not to do the whole thing in blue. I really like it!

I'm at the hair salon getting my hair done (dyed and cut) and I want to know why dye always itches so much?! I want to scratch and I can't! Also, my hair will be *different* when it's done. Photos incoming!

I got offered the job without an interview because they were impressed by my experience, I was told. Nice to hear!

So you know how I started a new position in January? Well, I had applied for another position but didn't hear from them so I figured no luck. Yesterday I heard from them and they offered me the position without an interview! And you'll never guess what the position is! 1/2

And here's the stack of fabric pieces I cut today! 41 pieces! This is going to be a wallet. The patterned green fabric will be the exterior, the red and pink fabric with the butterflies is contrast, and the evergreen is the lining. I'll try to post progress photos of this project too.

Here's the stack of fabric I cut yesterday. I lost count around 60 pieces! This will be a messenger bag for my favorite musician, Tony Lucca. He's a singer-songwriter who plays both acoustic and electric guitar as well as piano. I'll try to post photos of the bag in progress.

Remember those wallets I was working on? They're finished! There's the ID pocket in front and the zipper pocket for cash and change. On the back is a flap with a snap that covers 2 card slots. It comes with a wrist strap and a lanyard. How cute are they?! I'll be listing them soon on Etsy for $25.

I feel I deserve kudos today. I cut out all the fabric pieces for a messenger bag. 60+ pieces of fabric by my estimate! Way too many for me to count. My feet and back hurt, but I have accomplished a lot today! Tomorrow I'm cutting pieces for a wallet. Not as big a project, but very pretty! 🎉🎉🎉

Well that was an expensive trip that never happened! Tried to start my car to go to the doctor's but it wouldn't start. Diagnosis- 7 year old battery. I'm now $207 lighter but I have a new battery. Yay?

I did mention I was sewing today!

The second bag for author Tammy Barker is coming along quickly!

The bookcase bag has been attached to the lining! Doesn't the pink look pretty with all the items on the shelves? Next, the drawstring section at the top and then the handles.

So I was fat shamed by an orthopedist today. Should I say something to him? Or should I just let it go? I told him that I had lost 65 lbs in the past year and he talked right over that AND gave me a sheet with diet tips. Like, I think it's obvious I know what I'm doing?!

Check out my latest project! I just finished putting the bottom on this bag's exterior. Stitched it twice so it will hold up under a heavy load.

Just a glimpse of the other bag I'm making for Tammy Barker, the mystery author. Both bags have literary themes! I've done rivets and a riveted snap on this bag so far. The lining will be pastel pink, to match the pastel colors of the items on the bookshelves.
