I feel like pinup doesn't quite fit the vibe in NSFW spaces, but it gets aggressively elbowed out of SFW spaces for being too racy, so we just kind of exist in our own niche little limbo most of the time.

IT TOTALLY FITS If horror, and anything suggestive can fall under NSFW, so can pinups NSFW isnt just fuckin'. YOU BELONG

People tend to forget pinups wouldn't fly in an office anymore.. they are therefore, NSFW

Pinup was literally stylized porn in a time and culture when porn wasn't readily available or accessible. It was absolutely never NSFW and wasn't intended to be. It's like the midcentury modern equivalent of plastering your walls with anime catgirls with their tits out.

Pinup callendars are our grandparents equivalent to anime bodypillows. Thats it, we broke the internet.

Ah, I was thinking of like.. even in the military now. Pinups used to be allowed and even got painted onto equipment. I figured other workplaces may have allowed it in the past too.

I demand now a pinup-thursday if we form a company someday. Everyone in the office MUST dress like a pin up model that day and take a picture in weekly themed photocall or must be forced to participate in a stock-photo session after work.

I'm 100% on board with this.

I'd pic the stock-photos, not because I don't want to do pin ups, but because I too wish to threaten mice with guns and do other ridiculous things

Pin up its more "subtle" and elegant, so when looking for NSFW people tend to prefer the explicit rather than elegance. I adore both and I think its harder to make art that is just suggestive but beautiful than going full porn.
