The Norwegian god of sleep says "it's Monday, no more sleep for you." The first time I saw this at Lincoln Memorial Gardens I thought it was supposed to be Abe Lincoln until I got up close. 🤔

Springfield is supposed to be the epicenter of periodical cicada emergence but I was feeling left out because there haven't been near my house. A visit to Lincoln Memorial Gardens remedied that.

I went to Lincoln Memorial Garden yesterday and as I entered the woods I was thoroughly schooled by a group of Tufted Titmice (Titmouses?) Clearly I was not welcome. 😕🪶

Indigo Buntings are the best blue. Also, I can walk down the bike path behind my house and find them in the summer. 🪶

We had a fun visit to my step-daughter's house to feed her highland pony and take pictures of the hummingbirds in her garden. So much hummingbird attitude. 🪶🐎

Happy Monday! My great find this weekend was a Baltimore Oriole with a snack. I so rarely spot them that this made my day. 🪶
