Tony’s phone was turned off last night, so I asked staff to take a phone to him. They turned his back on. Just tried to ring to say goodnight. Yup, his phone’s off again. Sad and tired.

Debating whether I keep my Felt shop open. Not sure it’s justified. Between AI / art theft, and the success of TikTok ‘artists’ who sell based largely on the cult of personality, it may not be a game I’m willing to play. I suspect galleries are going to make a comeback.

Taking the tape off to reveal clean edges is so satisfying.

I know the health system is very broken, so I’m incredibly grateful for all the care I’ve had, and continue to get (with delays). I feel fortunate to be here. In the US I’d be bankrupt or dead.

Phone appt with specialist was good. Ordering blood tests & skull x-rays. Asking Waikato specialist team to review once all results back. Spoke to Neurology, definitely back under my old Neurologist & might be seen in October, so quicker than expected. Making progress 🙂

I’m 59 & have the circulation of a 90 year old. Electric blanket on 2 and my feet are still cold. Wall panel heater on well before I come to bed and my hands are still icy. Wait till I actually get old… neurological problems are so much fun.

Gelli printing with leaves is off to a good start.

I’m getting up to start a new series, but not rushing in. Tomorrow I want to gather fresh leaves etc and make botanical gelli prints for layering on wood panels.

First of my specialist appointments (endocrinologist) is Monday. Hospital rang & they’re only doing phone consults. Less than ideal, but better than nothing.

Lunch at the in the sunshine with Tony. He’ll be sleeping it off now. 🩷

A sweet local shopkeeper who I deal with regularly just told me I look tired. Interesting that it shows on my face because really I feel a bit 💩

Semi urgent referral to neurologist should take 2-3 months. Waiting on confirmation but apparently more likely 12+ months. Deep sigh…

Finished three more small experiments in my landscape journal tonight.

I don’t even drink coffee but this makes me laugh every time I see it.
