I’m unhappy that this attitude persists- in 1988 U of Alberta, for my MFA in Drama (playwriting & screenwriting) I got the eminent Dr Hank Hargreaves (English prof) on my committee to convince the Drama dept that an SF play about a sentient AI was even acceptable! Otherwise it was questionable!!

I just got this cool laurel for #screenwriting - my script Garden Variety Aliens is a quarter finalist! #ISA #emergingscreenwriters #Animation woot!

Spent the week after #Nebulas24 at #Banff45 online. A lot of great info for tv industry types. Best so far was the #Showrunner panel!

#Writer friends - I'm on a panel at the Nebula Conference next Friday! You can still register for this wonderful conference for science fiction and fantasy writers. As a single mum with a busy corporate job and a sometimes a college teaching gig, I can talk about the busy writing life!
