As a ten year old skiing on our lake in East Texas I never could have dreamed I’d celebrate my sixtieth birthday skiing on the French Riviera in Juan-Les-Pins.
Itzhak Perlman is clearly past his prime but still performed some nice solo work on parts of Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons and did a fine job conducting Tchaikovsky’s beloved Fifth Symphony. Accommodations were made as always by the Houston Symphony.
