Before today’s Twins game there was a moment of silence for Vikes rookie Khyree Jackson, killed in a car crash overnight.
The “moment” lasted maybe 5 seconds.
I’ve seen those go a full minute at Premier League matches on TV.
It’d serve Americans well to STFU, just for a minute.
To be clear, it was the stadium production team that gave it five seconds from the introduction to the concluding “Thank you”. I don’t know if they didn’t have more time than that to spare in the pregame production or if they simply don’t think a crowd can put a sock in it for longer than that.
