For those wondering how I embed hyperlinks in some posts: I use deck.blue on my desktop computer (SUPER EASY! See my quickie how-to video) and StackEdit.io to doublecheck my markdown before I post.
Esp useful for those who want to provide links to more info (book info, etc) without being spammy.
Forgot to mention: the screenshot was from stackedit.io/app, a free open-source full-featured Markdown editor (thanks to deck.blue for recommending).
Note that you can't use ALL markdown in deck.blue. I mainly use the embedded links & find them SUPER handy.
