I need to vent. I’ve been on an emotional roller coaster since Thurs & was finally feeling better until I had to spend 1.5 hrs explaining to my son’s grandma why the term “wetback” offended my white son. This is the 4th conversation we’ve had on this in 3 weeks. I’m exhausted. Truly exhausted.
OMG. I’m sure you’ve heard “it’s a different generation from a different time.” Nonsense. So sorry your son has to hear it from his own family member. For shame. Head up, son, head up.
