As a makeup artist, I often get asked about my preferred style of makeup application. I am an extremist at heart, which is why I have a deep appreciation for both ends of the spectrum - the no makeup look and creative makeup.
While many may assume that achieving a natural, clean look is simple, the reality is quite the opposite. It requires a level of restraint and a unique skill set that not everyone possesses. There is a certain gratification in enhancing a model’s natural beauty without overshadowing it with makeup.
However, as artists, we often strive for our makeup creations to take center stage, making the no makeup look a challenging feat to master. It takes years of experience and proper education to perfect these looks, as many beginners tend to have a heavy hand and struggle ➡️
with achieving a clean, minimalistic appearance. In the end, mastering both the no makeup look and creative makeup requires dedication, practice, and an eye for detail.
