[meta Sorry! Another verkakte NYT article has almost given me a heart attack and I gotta say something. Yell at me for the gift link if you must!]
The either stupid or terrible author, Ruth Graham, goes on about the "New Conservative Brain Trust" moving to Coeur d'Alene, ID etc. No Nazis mentioned!
I made a short thread about it on Twitter. (Yell at me for that too. I refuse to cut myself off from information I may need to protect myself.)
N.B. some associated with the Claremont Institute aren't moving to Idaho. It's just such a striking example.

I checked Kressin's CA home address. It's an hour and a half from Palmdale where Richard Butler moved from in the 1970s to found the Aryan Nations in a Coeur d'Alene suburb. Far from "new," this "resettling" is a continuing migration.

Trying not to dox!
Kressin was in Fullerton, CA
1,366 miles or 1,261 miles to Coeur d'Alene per Google
Palmdale CA to Coeur d'Alene
1,134 miles to 1,184 miles per Google
Point: There should be ruts worn in the ground from passage of the wagon wheels of Nazis from Southern Calif to Northern Idaho.
Thanks! I do know how to bypass many news paywalls.
I study the circulation of information and I know a *lot* about this type of thing.
I am purposely keeping my NYT subscription for reasons. I mention it only to acknowledge that it may piss people off.
I did say it was OK to yell at me. Nonetheless, that's quite a trip to lay on me @maraleia.bsky.social! That I'm helping the NYT "to continue to be Nazi's and anti-trans bigots."
It is accurate to say I didn't offer an explanation. Nor do I intend to. Esp. not to someone who talks to me like this.
So, I was juxtaposing the Guardian story (about Patriot Front) as a recent example of what can go on in Coeur d'Alene, even though it's from 2022.
The NYT story is about a different brand of Nazis that are wealthy and clean up nicer.
Yes Patriot Front frequently appear masked up to their eyeballs.
