Purely as a “how to alt text” note, unrelated to the substance of what we’re talking about: I think accepted practice for screenshots is to click the little button with 3 lines that autodetects text in the image and lets you select, copy, and paste it - then ctrl-A ctrl-C, ctrl-V into the alt text.
Super easy once you know it’s possible, but I didn’t even realize that button existed at first (and I think it’s only on mobile?) so of course it’s ridiculous for him to assume you didn’t use it out of malicious intent.
