Lovely to see this write-up of the @iayc.bsky.social International Astronomical Youth Camp (IAYC). I went twice as a teenager, to Germany in 1984 and Slovenia in 1985, and had a heck of a time. Something to point out to astronomy-curious young people. www.atlasobscura.com/articles/int...

#ThursdayArt. This is the Staffordshire Pan, a copper bowl which appears to be a Roman-era souvenir of Hadrian's Wall. It is decorated with mock Celtic motifs and under the rim are written the names of the four westernmost forts of the Wall, and the name 'Aelius Draco'.

It’s been a bit weird to see my own name spattered all over the projected 2019 results. Not the first time that I had undertaken this task, but the first time I remember getting credited so vigorously. Not that I am complaining, at all!
