I just saw the times and I came THIRTY FIFTH out of 461 people who finished the walk! Almost two hours behind the first finisher (WT actual F) but still. (8.58 inc half hour break, since you ask.)
I just checked my total. Thank you all so much. Between this and my RL sponsorship, I've raised £2000 for the Alzheimer's Society, and that makes the remarkable amount of pain in my glutes and deep six muscles worthwhile.
I am feeling quite smug tbh. Not bad for an old.
Although I could barely hobble to the pub last night. Thank god I'm British and going to the pub overrides everything except actual death.
