Little Library: an update I placed one paperback in the local Little Library late last week. Today, it has been "checked out". Someone reached out saying they didn't see it there. (a humble request?) I'll "return" another on Thursday. I offered her a copy of her own. We colleged together.

Little Library! I placed my paperback debut novel in one of those Little Libraries today, (and I left a book without taking a book.) 🥹🤍 The plan to peek inside next week to see if it got, umm, checked out. 💙📚

Three versions: ~The proof, no page numbers yet. 8.5"x11" shrunk down by KDP ~The next, author copy 6"x9" shrunk down to almost as tiny font as the proof. ~Paperback, but the margin is set as if not a book, 1" inside and outside. Font is 12 pt! New versions are ordered.

I see masking as a small part of distancing. I distance at a high level. Oh, and yesterday, heat had a local candy store chocolate melting. I had to ply it from the wrapper as I went into kroger. When I took off my mask safely away from the store, I looked and chocolate was all over my mask, lol!

For Mom's birthday tomorrow, I made an orange marble cake (I held back a cup of batter and added more pure orange extract, since the cake was mildly orange, and some maraschino cherry juice to it to make a marbling batter) and orange frosting. Mom said it is delicious, so a win!

I just saw a military service member that was a staunch trumper in 2020 share the Arndt quote on lies and totalitarianism. Someone has looked at the lies trump and his media darlings repeat, and recognized why and to what tragic end. She was brilliant.

The simmer on the sauce, to reduce and thicken, is roughly five or six hours here. I thickened it completely to keep the pasta from absorbing a watery sauce. You can shave time by cutting two cups water - but after three hours, the paste/water mixture changes, and it becomes magical.
