i had my last class of HUMANIZING PEDAGOGIES, one of my favorite seminars to teach.
it challenges me to attend to my own praxis in the deepest of ways –– i am trying, always, to put into action the ideals that i hold.
for our final assignment, students were asked to do a "creative project" that reflected something they learned or experienced. they will then write an artists' statement integrating readings from our semester.
there were so many wonderful pieces: video collage, assemblage, haikus paired with photos...
it was a lovely way for students to show what they learned.
