Doing meal prep on a week's worth of kale, Mustard green, shaved Brussel sprouts and spinach salads, Chopping with the fury of all of the "simple changes" a doctor decided I needed to make to my diet, without knowing a goddamn thing about what I eat.
The things I have to do to cook in this tiny fucking kitchen.

i was scared of my new doctor because *new doctor*, but she asked about diet, heard “95% vegetarian w/occasional fish, cooks at home, member of bean club” and never said another word to me about how i should eat. i’m low end lane bryant but enough that she is… atypical

they’re great! also, if you like black beans, the ayocote negros are the most beautiful i’ve ever seen. once soaked, they shine in peacock colors

I am happy to have had this conversation with you as many times as we want! I Instant Potted them and forgot about the dyeing. But I still have half a bag, because I live alone and know not to cook the whole pound.

Rancho Gordo has chickpeas, too. :) The bean club is a big commitment unless you're regularly serving a lot of people, but it's super fun to try different varieties & well worth looking for in the store (or ordering) imo They sell it at a couple upscale hippie places near me
