🧵 When I tell people that they need to think through how social interactions work in practice for all kinds of populations (disabled folk, children, older people, caregivers, etc.) this is the kind of thing I mean.

I think my least favorite meme on the left is "you're a good person because you return the shopping cart to the corral," Because, as with so many other things, it assumes the structures and systems we work within are neutral and equal, and everyone is equally capable of working within it.

After telling someone to throw out yet another useless book of advice for neurodivergent people clearly written by someone who isn’t neurodivergent I have one tip re developing a habit w ADHD: make it really easy to implement. Kids dropping wrappers on floor? Put out more trash cans in those areas
