You seem rude, firstly, & are being rude. Start my looking through the mutual aid & help feeds on bluesky. You'll find many struggling people to support. You need to be smart about finding your own additional ways to support people too, not just look to me.
I’m going to take the “you’re” literally since you also said everybody. What do you propose I do? What do you presume is my level of care for struggling people? I’m not intending to be rude here, just genuinely curious about perspectives on this issue.

"you're not gonna help by not caring about people" "OH SO WHAT SHOULD I DO THEN?!!!!" well...let's pretend for a second you care about these people. does that care compel you to do anything? embarrassing

No exclamation points, just genuinely trying to engage in a conversation about this so that lefties can take action together in an organized way.

but that's the point, it shouldn't be "activism" it's just humanism. a homeless person is just a person who doesnt have somewhere to sleep, engage with them and see what they might need. if they're asking for money, give them money. if they need medical assistance, try to get it for them.

I go into the Kroger and buy stuff for the people who live outside of the Kroger, but I’m not on the Supreme Court

then there you go - if you do things for your local homeless population then Chantal's original post is more a pat on the back than anything; you already *do* care. it often doesn't feel like enough but if more individuals had that compassion it wouldn't need organization. encourage your friends!!

I do give folks money and take good stuff to the swap meet and redistribute excess foods that I have, but I make less than the median income, there’s only so much I can do. My point is what can we all do together to make an impact while the Supreme Court exists the way it does?

individual compassion is *literally everything* if every single one of us gave just a little bit, life would be easier for us all
