Biden allowing this is such a strategic misstep. People won’t suddenly forget their bumps & bruises or criminal records or families being hurt in November. Fascist cops are incentivized to crack skulls under Biden cuz it helps their guy.

We know I’m not saying that he should have control of police. I am talking about who will be held responsible by voters. The president takes credit for good things that happens while he is president. The president is then responsible for bad things that happen while he is president.
Sure - seems like less of a misstep on his part though than the right wing knowing ahead of time that the more they demonized protestors the more it would hurt the president

Yes, I agree. That's part of how the misstep manifests in my eyes. He doesn't just have to take this. He can demonstrate leadership, support the right to protest, or at minimum draw a clear distinction wrt weaponization of the term 'antisemitism,' but it would require him to acknowledge genocide.

Because of how protesters chose to conduct themselves by being more anti Israel than pro Palestine, they made it more difficult to support them and argue against the right.

If the protests weren’t on school property or anywhere else that receives federal funding, they wouldn’t be beholden to this.
I have tried to urge people away from anti Israel style protesting because I know what the law is. And not caring about the law won’t make it not exist.
