Morning through the bedroom window screen.

Weird yellowish sky and cloud formations. Tornado warnings till 10pm. Lynn’s in St. Louis and Jack’s at work. If it kicks up, Derek and I are heading for the basement with as many pets as we can round up before we see Elvira Gultch go by on her bike/broom.

Came across this on the dredge today. Charles Vess's illustration for my story, "The Dreaming Wind." It hangs in the hallway downstairs over the door to the kitchen. One of my favorite illustrations. *I should add, the original isn't darkened like this. It's just one of my lousy photos.
