Why take trips at all? Can't you do everything by Zoom? Insist that family and friends visit you rather than vv? It's not as if you can explain to Kit that you will come back, not that that would do much to keep her from missing you.

Seems about cat. My tabby this morning. He’s a big cuddle monster…most of the time. Other times he’s just monster.

My similarly-patterned one has several time woken himself by making plaintive cries, and then run to me for comfort. I suspect he had some sort of kitty-nightmare.
