Everyone is always afraid to say why people like Trump or Marie Le Pen have some level of popularity and it’s just that there’s a lot of people in the world who believe in racism. You end up with these goofy ass explanations for Trump where it’s NAFTA or shit and it’s like no you know what it is

I just keep coming back to how much of a massive failure those eight years were and wishing we could have done so much differently at the grassroots

yeah, it’s hard not to think that we could have made much more of it if democratic leadership actually understood the enemy in time. but the ACA is a huge accomplishment even though it also sucks. without it i and several family members, including a newborn relative, would be uninsurable for life
