I enjoy watching shows where competent people do jobs competently, even if that is a pipe dream. I like it on “Star Trek”, I like it in Sorkin’s shows.

My most cancelable take is that The West Wing was a perfectly cromulent show that people blame for absolutely everything that goes wrong in politics. It's like blaming ER for making people think emergency rooms are a good place to get healthcare.
