This is already happening. The NC legislature passed a law that you have to show photo ID to providers, and providers have to turn over lists. They CLAIM it’s “to protect children,” BUT.
1. Devices and internet services already have parental controls
2. Nobody under 18 can enter an adult store
3. Nobody but an idiot wants the state to have a record of them having bought or consumed porn, so this effectively bans it for EVERYONE
Yes, obvs you can get around it w/VPN, but that’s not the point. PornHub has already shut off access to the state.
This isn’t being reported on or talked about ANYWHERE. It’s a test balloon that will now serve as a larger precedent.
They’ve framed it so that anyone who dares oppose it gets smeared for being “a groomer who wants kids to see porn.” Which is absurd.
