Libertarians try to tell you that “market pressure” will make self-regulation work, because no one will want to be found to fake that because they’ll lose customers. Sure Jan dot JPG. That only works when there’s a market that can reasonably be entered by third parties. Not airplane manufacturing.
So uh. They may have a break in the Boeing failures. And Airbus is affected, too.
A British firm may have been forging release certificates, lying about the metallurgy of their parts, so that brand new parts already had corrosion.
Libertarianism only “works” when it’s entirely free-riding on the rule of law and once that’s been ridden into the ground….
It’s a very _stupid_ ideology.
There’s a (small and shrinking) minority of libertarians who do care, but they still cannot see the real world to a degree that seems like straight-up delusion.
I mean I learned about sulfuring wine from romance novels. You do not have to read actual history or understand the law to get this!
I’m over educated and interested in a bunch of really weird things that most reasonable people consider terminally dull, but I know a lot of this from the fluffiest entertainments! (NB: I am not suggesting romance novels are bad, just probably more digestible than NIST 800-63B.)
